Bike Bakersfield is hosting three introductory level workshops..
This series, focused on basic bike mechanics and safety, is geared towards kids aged 8 to 13. The workshops are free to Bike Bakersfield members (parent's membership applies) and are $5.00 per session to non-members. Student memberships are $10.00. This workshop focuses on basics such as differentiating types of bikes and their purpose, understanding some of the basic parts of a bike, and flat repair.
Our first High School Bike Night was on January 24th. Check back for information on the next High School Bike Night.
You'll connect with other students, talk about organizing rides and events, and learn about volunteer opportunities. There will also be tutorials, safety tips, and a film. Food and drinks are provided.
