THE ROCK COBBLER PREAMBLE: ROLLER RACE EVENT

Saturday, February 7 at 4:00 PM

We'll be hosting a fun roller races during SamBarn Promotion's packet pickup event for the Rock Cobbler. All are invited for a chance to claim bragging rights as a mega-fast sprinter. The event will be at Lengthwise Brewing Co on Schirra Court (by White Lane and Ashe Road), and roller races will be set up in the back courtyard. Come enjoy some beer, bikes, and fun! RIO BRAVO RUMBLE

Saturday, January 17 at 7:30 AM

Sign up for a challenging course, whether you're on foot or bike (or both!), at Glinn and Giordano Physical Therapy's 2015 Rio Bravo Rumble. It's not too late to register - late fees apply after January 9. More information is available on the GG Physical Therapy website. All proceeds go to Bike Bakersfield and our mission to build a bike-friendly community.

We are still looking for Rio Bravo Rumble volunteers! About 14 volunteer gatekeepers are needed to make sure cattle and other obstacles are clear from the course. A pizza lunch will be provided, and volunteers also receive a free event T-shirt, pint glass, and travel mug. If you are interested please contact us via email or Jason at 321-9247.



NOR CAL VS SO CAL STATE CYCLOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS

January 24-25 at 8:30 AM

Come see cyclocross riders compete for the state championships. North and South are pitted against each other to see who is better. The two-day event is at Hart Park and is open to all. Do you have what it takes to go through one of the toughest CX courses? Then register online.

The 2nd annual Rock Cobbler is upon us, and it's bigger and better than last year. If you haven't registered and would like to participate in the event you will have to wait till next year, because registration is limited and it is completely sold out. Full Moon Ride

Full Moon Bike Ride

Tuesday, February 03 at 7:00 PM

Join a casual group ride from Beach Park to the Marketplace at a pace of around 10-12 miles per hour. The ride out is organized and kept together as much as possible. Once at the Marketplace, riders enjoy the fountain and various shops, then head home or back to the park in smaller, unsupported groups.

Lights, helmets and locks recommended. (Lights and reflectors for all, and helmets for those under 18 are required by California Vehicle Code.)
