CELEBRATE BIKE BAKERSFIELD

Bike Bakersfield is turning 10 this year, and we will be celebrating with a special evening program. Save the date for Celebrate Bike Bakersfield, on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Bakersfield Museum of Art. The event will include a three-course dinner, a look at Bike Bakersfield's past accomplishments and what is to come, an awards ceremony, and special guest speakers Dorothy Wong and Charlie Gandy from the California Bicycle Coalition.

BAKERSFIELD COUNTRY & CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

Enjoy a day of craft beer, food, and music while helping our community at the Bakersfield Country & Craft Beer Festival. Hosted and planned by the Active 20-30 Club of Bakersfield, 100% of the event proceeds will be given away to local children charities in Kern County. The festival is located at Central Park at Mill Creek (Downtown Bakersfield) on Saturday, April 11, from 1PM to 5PM.
Worried about parking? Don't fret, ride your bike to the event! Bike Bakersfield will offer free bike valet during the Craft Festival.
DRY RIVER CLASSIC
Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 AM
Finish Line is hosting its 3rd annual Dry River Classic charity ride. This year's proceeds will benefit the Kern River Parkway Foundation, the organization that beautifies and promotes the Kern River Bike Path.
There will be a 50-, 35-, and 10-mile option, welcome to all riders of all levels. Pre-registration is $40 and $50 on the day of the ride, so please register early! Your entry fee includes an event T-shirt, a BBQ lunch provided by Salty's BBQ, and a ticket for a raffle drawing. Lunch for unregistered guests is $10.

Full Moon Bike Ride
Saturday, May 02 at 6:00 PM
Join a casual group ride from Beach Park to the Marketplace at a pace of around 10-12 miles per hour. The ride out is organized and kept together as much as possible. Once at the Marketplace, riders enjoy the fountain and various shops, then head home or back to the park in smaller, unsupported groups.
Lights, helmets and locks recommended. (Lights and reflectors for all, and helmets for those under 18 are
required by California Vehicle Code.)

Angela at La Bicicleta Boutique hosts weekly morning rides every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. Wednesdays and Saturdays are usually suitable for beginner to intermediate levels, and Sunday rides can get a little more challenging. Ride route and level vary depending on the consent of the riders present.
