BACK TO SCHOOL BIKE FESTIVAL
Saturday, August 9 at 10 AM
California Highway Patrol and Bike Bakersfield are hosting a special back-to-school event for the whole family to enjoy! The Back To School Bike Festival is a FREE event and is located at Siemon Park at 3300 Redlands Drive, from 10 AM - 2 PM. Families and students going back to school can get information about pedestrian and bike safety, back to school safety, nutrition, and immunizations. We will also have bike mechanics offering basic maintenance and repairs for kids bikes, food vendors, and a Kidical Mass bike ride at 12 PM.
Participants will gather prior to the Kidical Mass ride for a pre-ride helmet check and bike inspection. All Kidical Mass participants must wear a helmet - this includes adults! The ride will be slow-paced, taking us around the park and through the surrounding neighborhood.
